Prevent-a-Litter (PAL) Program
The Prevent-a-Litter (PAL) Program is a financial assistance and veterinary accessibility program designed to help us create a healthier feline population through spay/neuter and rabies vaccination efforts in Huntington County.
You must be a current resident living within Huntington County Limits to be eligible for this program.
All options include spay/neuter, rabies vaccination, and a microchip for $40/cat.
There are several different veterinary options for you to select from; Please be certain to select the provider and date that work best.
Note: There are no refunds issued for missed appointments OR for those who sign up but do not live within Huntington County limits.
We do not discriminate on the type of cat – indoor, outdoor, owned, or feral – who can benefit from this service as any unaltered cat can add to to overpopulation.

Public Vet -Traveling Vet
Public Vet will be coming to Huntington (4H Fairgrounds - Community Building) every three months in 2026.
These clinics are typically hosted on Saturdays.

You will be responsible for dropping off your cat Saturday morning and picking up your cat Saturday afternoon.
The surgeries will take place inside the 4H Fairgrounds (First Federal Savings Bank Community Building) at 547 S. Briant St.
This option includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccination, and microchip.
Any additional services are at your own expense.
Bluffton Animal Clinic - Transportation Provided
Appointments are available every FIRST MON/TUES OF EVERY MONTH.

You will be responsible for dropping off your cat at the Huntington County Humane Society on Monday by 3:00PM and picking up your cat on Tuesday between 4:45 -5:00PM of your selected appointment date from the shelter.
The surgery will take place at Bluffton Animal Clinic.
This option includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccination, and microchip.
No additional services are offered.
Bluffton Animal Clinic - Select Your Own Appointment
If you select this option, you will schedule your own appointment at your convenience with Bluffton Animal Clinic.
There is no set clinic date for this option. You schedule your own appointment.

You will be responsible for scheduling your own appointment with Bluffton Animal Clinic, as well as providing transportation to/from your scheduled appointment.
This option includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccination, and microchip.

Humane Fort Wayne
Appointments are available every FIRST WED/THURS OF EVERY MONTH.

You will be responsible for dropping off your cat at the Huntington County Humane Society on Monday before 12PM and picking up your cat on Tuesday between 4-5PM of your selected appointment date from the shelter. The surgery and transportation to/from will take place at Humane Fort Wayne.
This option includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccination, and microchip.
No additional services are offered.
