Who can volunteer?

• Anyone 16 years and older with a properly filled out volunteer form (Note: If under 18, volunteer liability waiver must be signed by legal guardian/parent).

• Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied at all times by an adult and must have adult signature on the volunteer form.

When can I volunteer?

We have volunteer opportunities every day of the week at various times. Work until 5 p.m.? No problem! We have volunteer roles that would work with your work schedule and weekend needs as well! Whether you can come weekly or a few times a month - we have a role for you! 

I'm allergic to cats/dogs - can I still volunteer?

Yes! We have a lot of different volunteer roles and can work to find the best fit for you. 

I don't have any animal experience, is that okay?

Absolutely! Our volunteers will learn from the shelter staff everything they need to know about proper animal handling. No volunteer will ever be asked to handle sick, scared, or dangerous animals.
